I should point out that getting my company to put their hand in their pocket for anything at all is a major achievement. Also in fairness, they have been extremely kind to me in the past when I needed a substantial amount of time off work.

Sounds like you've made up your mind... and company does seem to be fair (ish). Would still try and get few days paid leave for doing the course. It is in their interest to have more qualified people working for them so it's for their benefit too

Well I had a great ride in today. Dispatched some kind of Benelli from a set of lights but then he had the oomph to get past me coming up to a roundabout. Of course, me being me, I shot past him on a long sweeping left hander, knee and pegs on the floor, sparks flying everywhere. He then caught up with me again on the M3 and shot past me while I was happily bimbling along at 70. Anyone can be quick in a straight line, I thought to myself. Rock on!

I like my new tyres, BT014's. I heard bad things abou them but they are awesome!

Must be a good day for riding into work. I totally out rode some guy on a baby blade. He was really hanging out on the corners but was breaking way to early. I took him as we approached the next corner, a quick check to see if he was up for the chase. He was, so I gunned it. Didn't see him again.

I didn't have any commute this morning, mainly due to the fact I got unexpected trolleyed last night and couldn't face getting up at 7am. So I'm working from the sofa instead. Hurrah.

My commute this morning involved a shuttle bus from my hotel to Schiphol Airport, then train to Amsterdam Centraal and a short walk down by the canal to a training centre

Still wish I was back in the UK... if the weather there is anything like it is here, it'd make for a good ride.
