Disappointed to see Australia lose to Brasil 2-0. Should have been a bit closer, maybe even drawn if some chances were capitalised on, cough* Kewell * cough.
Ah well, only have to draw against Croatia to move to next round. |

only one team has impressed me so far, thats argentina. they duffed up a team that hadn't been beaten in 11 games 6 nil. spain did well, but played an ageing ukraine team made up of one star player!
bit harsh on spain i agree, i will reserve full judgement until they've played their second game today. |

Jesus. You're right and all.
I heard that the problem with the Spanish team is that they hate each other. For instance the favourite team of most Basques is 'whichever team playing against the Spanish'. Which is sort of a problem, I would imagine. Luckily for us, we have one, nice cohesive team. Well. You know... two. But, two cohesive ones. |

Phil...That has always been a problem with the Spanish team..Catalans,Vascos,Andaluzes...they just have never got the "Us" thing. They are looking very prone to pace at the back which is not like them, but are doing evcerything right upfront apart from score up to now....it's a game of two halves.....
