dude you gotta be careful if you're about to start marathon training, last thing you need now is an injury

Just got Abingdon confirmation through the post, so I'm one of the 1100 in there.

ED - do you apply in the end?

Good man, does it feel good to have a target again?

Yes mate, I've been doing a lot of irregular running recently so a focus will be great.

Sub-4 is the target, so that would mean shaving a mere 34 minutes off my target.

Have a 10k I might do on 17th May, but other than that just going to try and put some base mileage down, only managed 117 in April.

How are your legs feeling now Flymo?

Totally back to normal already, I guess the training paid off in that respect. I'm forcing myself to stay away from my trainers until Tuesday

Might well do that Liverpool Tunnel 10K at the end of this month, its about the right time away to give me time to train up slowly without over doing it. A nice little target to aim for will help me avoid the post marathon blues.

Did you enjoy the day?

Both me and the missus have applied for London next year. I'm hoping to crack 4 hours in Abingdon so that I can enjoy London if we both get in and run at her pace.

If I am still running in the later part of 2010, I'm going to do New York.
