Here are two pics first is the 750 (K4-5... supposed to be the most powerful gixxer 750's and 600's, dont get it either! Emissions?) second is the 600. Have a look and see what you see.

if you compair 8k rpm on both then you see that the 750 is up about 15-20 BHP...

Yeah this is what I was expecting - the amount it's up by on the 600 changes by RPM but it's always up - e.g.:

4000rpm 30hp vs 25hp
6000rpm 50hp vs 40hp
8000rpm 75hp vs 60hp
10000rpm 105hp vs 85hp
12000rpm 125hp vs 100hp
14000rpm 125hp vs 105hp

Interesting how the 600 catches up a little bit at the end there - the difference in rev limits might be a factor there, pretty much all engines seem to die off in the last 1000 or 2000 rpm. Not sure if the rev limit is the cause, or the effect though - i.e. if you raised the rev limit would it die off later, or would it just continue to die off from the original position but die "further"....anyway that's just my murmerings

I dont think so. Pretty much all engines fall off, its mostly down to air flow... I.E. not enough. (why an oval piston NR500 was made...). Only way would be Cam timings or high lift cams porting etc etc.

Well when I get my bike Dyno'd again ill see if I can get the guy to put a few Dyno runs on a flash driver for me so I can compair loadsa bikes and maybe if I get chance draw up a few charts... though the Dyno program may be able to do it for me.

I'll keep you posted

It'd be interesting to compare the torque outputs of the 600 vs 750 as well

Oh go on then

4000rpm 35ft-lb vs 30ft-lb
6000rpm 45ft-lb vs 35ft-lb
8000rpm 50ft-lb vs 40ft-lb
10000rpm 55ft-lb vs 45ft-lb
12000rpm 55ft-lb vs 45ft-lb
14000rpm 50ft-lb vs 40ft-lb

To the nearest 5ft-lb or so...
