Hmm - have fun in the snow and rain then. Hope you ain't got run flats - they are CRAP tyres!! ( brothers got them and so in 2 years has replaced the full set twice!)
should seriously consider winter tyres in about Oct they make the car mor manageable through winter and should last till april but don't expect to be going very far with it during dec/jan

Golf are good but the 2.0 GTTDI is a thrashmbile with many little things that can go wrong if not spotted to start with.

But whatever Enjoy it you've probably worked damn hard for it!

All this milarky about the traction is utter tosh, had my 320 since Feb and put nearly 10k on it in all weather conditions. I've driven far worse cars and yet to drive one thats good in snow other than 4x4. The swirl flap rumour is yet again a load of ****

and your in southhampton as opposed to Dumfries. and the worst of the snow was before you got your car

the only 4x4 that good in snow is one with decent tyes and not driving by a twit - hard to find

and btw not everyone fits into the stereotype for BMW I'm sure there are exceptions ( my brother is not one)
just not met many.

In fairness, I don't live in Dumfries and to be honest, we don't tend to get an awful lot of snow here in the west. I am surrounded by coast which kinda keeps the temperatures up a bit more than the east of the region or a bit further north. Yes we have had a bit of snow the past couple of years but not much at all, not compared to the east of our region or strathclyde and further north.

To me, two winters of a little bit of snow is not enough for me to be overly concerned. And we have a 4x4 so if I am really stuck my dad can rescue me!
