Can you not pack the larger clamp out with some rubber or PVC piping?

I've wanted a damper for a while but the clamps I want are just silly prices. I was looking at the ones that go in front of the tank near the top yoke

Yeah that would be the neater solution, maybe speak to RVRacing he's handy at making ally bits.

I might have a look at that if the other clamp (Hopefully on its way from the seller) is closer to the size I want.
Although I don't mind spending money for something that'll be proper. I only scrimped on the damper originally to check I can fit one with out going way overboard on price.

Most SV specific ones would be into the hundreds of pounds.

No, my next day is cadwell on 23rd of this month. but I will hope to be at blyton on august 17th.

No I"ve been a couple of times just thought I'd like to have a look at your project.....particularly the front end as was thinking of doing that mod myself... also at Cadwell on the 29th.

Having survived the wettest day ever at cadwell last time out, teetering around on the CBR instead, I decided it was time to get me some wets.

I found a set of wheels with discs and dry tyres for a reasonable sum on ebay.

I was really pleased to find they came with captive spacers and that the tyres were pirelli supercorsas (Front is the dragon version) with better tread than I had already.

So with the addition of a little rim tape to break up the black, I threw them on.

I have a set of metzeler wets coming to go on the silver wheels, hopefully in time for Blyton park next saturday if its looking necessary!!

I also got the damper attached to the fork with the correct sized clamp.
Can't wait to try it out:

Trackday 4 of 2013!

Blyton Park once more, with rain on the forecast.
Thankfully the rain stayed away other than a brief spell just before lunch.

A cracking day, SVGTI joined in the fun with his first kneedowns.

Yeah the bike does get some funny looks from people thinking my Gixxer has dropped two cylinders!!

I ran in the inters for the first time, I was passed a few times by a Fireblade and an R1 and maybe some others but I held my own with the big boys.

My best moment was dicing with a Panigale for a lap before getting past him into the fast right left.

Knee down at 80+mph thru there was putting a big smile on my face.
