Sometimes Ulster says NO though. In a loud, resonant voice.

NOOOO.

Like that.
BTW, when I said left wing BBC, I was sort of taking the **** out of something that Gudster said earlier.
Lads, BBC is not that left wing. It really isn't. It's a pretty reasonable source of information. Anyway, define left wing, or liberal. It is becomeing a word like terrorist. Ie, meaning nothing.

I don't think the Daily Mail could be accused of being left wing but the BBC is a more interesting debate. Our left of centre (maybe) government certainly thought the Beeb was a hotbed of revolutionaries when it dared to stand up to them over the sexy dossier, but most real lefties think the beeb is hidebound by it's pro establishment traditions and largely unable to make valid critisism of government.
Judging by the way the beeb got stamped on over it's sexy dossier affair, and that it is unlikely it could expose a similar fiasco today I tend to side with the lefties on this one.

Oh come on now. The UK has one of the most liberal socialist governments in the world. Labour has gone so far left the Tories have been pulled to the middle ground. Even the BNP is edgeing ever closer to the centre.

You can argue about how left or socialist our government is but I draw the line at liberal.Liberal they are not, indeed this is the most authoritarian administration in my living memory, and having tried to study a bit of history, since the war.
The left right debate goes on but my take is that authoritarianism is the real evil, wherever it comes from, and I include religeon in that.

Yes there is no end to the right left debate. Everybody's idea is different.

Authoritarianism/totalitarianism can and has benefitted many countries.
