Checked over the gsxr ready to take to dealers to finally get the recalls done after the theft last year. Fitted and seal to the garage and also removed the rear roller from the Suffolk mower to check why it was so noisy to find the pinion is knackered. New part ordered and that can sit in bits for another day when I will replace the drive belts also

Today I burned tires and changed tires on my bike.

So after a somewhat hairy ride to the stealers for recalls on the gsxr I got the dreaded phone call, we have done the work but.....

It appears the scumbags who stole it last year bent the disc in their attempts to remove the disc lock and it was pushing the pistons back in the caliper.

Bike delivered back with nice new brake master cylinder and updated reg/rec so now up on stands and front axle and calipers loosened whilst I await new discs and pads being delivered

No best part of 300 quid, but dealer wanted 240 plus VAT for one disc and pads then labour on top.

Luckily got a surprise bonus from work at the end of the financial year but that was money that was going to new leathers once I'd shed a bit more timber

Removed front brake pads on the CRF, filed them down a bit as they looked very glassy and checked the caliper for leaks etc. All back together and there is a very slight improvement, but engine braking still slows this bike quicker than the brakes do! Front and rear are pretty much non-existent. Both the same type of Nissin pads, so swapping out for some EBC on the front as soon as they arrive. Will flush through the brake fluid too and if there's still no improvement it's on to braided lines.

Great fun little bike but scary as hell around traffic. Certainly teaches you to think well ahead and slow before you need to brake. I'm fairly sure it's not meant to be that bad though!

Wasn't 100% happy with the first set of mini indicators, I think that the Oxford clear lenses ones look lots better.
Got the front Venhill braided lines on and bled up too, just the rear to do
