Yep, normally my body will wait til some big event or holiday before it gives in.
Due to give blood Sunday but might end up having to reschedule.

Same here, usually the Christmas holidays. Ive had the flu jab the last 3 years to try and reduce the chances of getting full blown flu, as it knocks me out for a week, always followed by a chest infection. I also a daily multivitamin and cod liver oil tablet.

I sufer less illnesses than my wife who's always got a runny nose, sneezing etc

My youngest has been off school since Tuesday with some nasty bug.

stop getting the fekin flu jab then. everyone i know who gets that is always sick as a fekin dog. those jabs only keep the flu viruses that they know about at bay, now since the viruses change form day to day then what the point. do you know how hard it is to actually get the FLU. if you get the flu its hospital time and most people think that a bad cold is the flu, well its not, the flu can KILL. when i hear people say i have the flu i say no you dont you have a bad cold.

dont believe me then pop into your nearest hospital and ask to see someone who has the flu then come back and tell me the bad colds you have been having are the flu.....

if your household is always contracting something then i suggest that you look into the house as it might be something that you are all allergic too and it could be a simple matter of the soap, shampoo or washing powder that is kicking it off due to your immune system constantly fighting it which leaves you open to other infections. for instance i get sore throats with certain plug in air fresheners and bad skin problems with biological soap powders.

a lot of people dont like to hear this or even believe it but the modern household is too clean so your immune system does not get the small dose's of harmless bugs that you need for your immune system to keep on top of things so when something does come along its full out war in your system.

No, on the contrary, ive not had bout of flu since having the jab, but i did before and i know the difference between it and a bad cold. Flu also has variions as to how badly it affects each individual.

If you knew my wife and her (non) cleaning regime in my house, you'd know that her symptoms aren't caused by over use of cleaning products

She's allergic to cleaning after living with her mother who is OCD about cleaning and dustng
