Saturday Morning
10am (sharp) kick off from the Drovers Car park
This route is 106 miles - so everyone will need a full tank before starting (otherwise its Crieff before fuel) If you think you'll need to stop for fuel please let one of the marshalls know before we set off.
Because there is no petrol at the meet point peeps will need to fuel up prior to the run. I think the nearest station is at Tyndrum which is 11 miles away, so people will need at tank range of at least 120 miles. Our Duke does 140 to a tankful so it's quite fine even for us.

Petrol stations - Tyndrum 11 miles north, Arrochar 11 miles South or Lix Toll on route.(tell TEC if you need fuel on the day)

The best idea is to fill up at Dumbarton Gateway services on the A82 before getting to campsite.

Petrol Stations added to main post.

Yes, but you'll use more fuel anyway two-up.

Dumbarton Gateway services is presumably in Dumbarton which is nearly 30 miles away!

Just for my own piece of mind I'll have to fill up at the one en-route I think.

Could be a good idea to nip up to Tyndrum to fill up once you've pitched your tent.

Dunno when the campsite pub opens (breakfast), so you could fill up and have a brekkie in Tyndrum in the morning, last years place was very good.

For those arriving from the North, fill at Tyndrum on way to camp. Coming from the South including Glasgow, it would be insurance to first in to Arrochar on the way up. This way most should have a generous fuel allowance for the start.

Tyndrum Lodge Hotel did a great 'All You Can Eat for a Fiver' brekkie. However their website for this year doesn't show it.

It should be noted that I do not intend to have half the bikers stopping at Lix Toll for petrol. This will stretch the group somewhat(even though there ain't many junctions) so Please ensure that you have as much of full tank as possible.

Sorry Q, but a tank can only hold so much. Asking people to travel 120 miles one one fill-up might stress some. Riding on a rideout almost invariably uses more fuel than normal usage. Maybe those needing fuel could set off a few minutes early as Lix Toll is only 17 miles away. Re-fuel and then join the rideout as it passes.
