Indeed. For anyone who rides with a modicum of restraint, the real danger in sharp bends is dangerous idiots (cars, vans and bikes in equal measure) who not only clip the centre line, but drift over it coming the other way.

Watch out for the centre line being worn away - sign that the corner is cut regularly.

Good tip that. Worst of those sort of corners are the ones that are walled (there are a few near the salisbury plains like this) so you can't see the wear till you're right on it, or indeed get early warning of the traffic that is running a bit wide. On those I find the only sensible option is to slow right down.
