I know that sounds worse, but its probably not. It'll probably mean that because its in the right place

1. It'll actually heal faster
2. You might not need a cast after the op and you'll probably get your movement back alot faster.
3. They'll give you morpheine which is ace stuff as is codeine

I had my wrist plated and in the long run I think it was the right thing to do as it healed faster. I was in alot less pain and I didnt need to have a cast as the plate held it in the right place.

like fizz said it might be better in the long run, the consultant was touch or go whether to do it or not but in the end i think he wanted to do it properly, for a youngish heathly bloke a general anesthetic isn't a big deal so i'd rather it were done properly, the little finger was quite curled under my 4th finger, moreso than it did at the roadside

but anyway, in bruce's "price is right" higher lower fashion, who wants to hazard a guess at the repair quote?

Thats what they said to me when they were talking about putting the plate into my wrist.
