I've worked all but 4 days since i picked it up, i just use my non work time wisely i.e. out on the bike.
It was a bit of a pain keeping under 5000 i seemed to be constantly changing gear. My dealer did say that i didn't have to be to strict and the odd blip of the throttle if i needed to overtake or stuff would do no harm. Just need to get some decent tyres on there now and do some thing with the bouncy front suspension and it'll be spot on. |

i have now been told, its all to do with the run in process, eg, if you run your bike in at now greater than 3000rpm for a thousand miles your bike wont produce the desired ammount..
i think what caused the increase of power although not much is that i just drove the bike how it was mean to, first day out on it i had it over 100mph, and scared my self stupid and said " not doing that again" and then got addicted to the buzz of it not realising that i was still running it in.. so my advise to you if you are running in your bike RIDE IT HARD tom... p.s(most of this i was told by a freind i am infact a dumbass ) lol |

the reason race bikes are thrashed straight out the crate is because theyre not expected to last long. not sure how long exactly but itll be 3-4 race meetings at the most id expect (not B.A.S.A.T approved) If you want to rack up lots of miles on the SV and not have engine problems later then the running in period should be stuck to. Easy for me to say though, mine was already run in when I got it \/
