So confused now haha I drive approx 15 miles to work through heavy traffic and probably one weekend a month out on the twisties but I want to travel from Portsmouth to Liverpool every now and again

at 15 miles threw heavy traffic i would get a well used (something you dont mind dropping or scratching) 125 or a super scoot (light, agile and good on fuel) for commuting. then buy a nice bike for the weekends and open road.
the only uncomfy part of an SV is the seat and your wrists on the S model so buy a naked and get the seat sorted. the 1000 is very nice but heavy. the 650 is fun. |

Both of the OPs choice of bikes seem to be nakeds,so they will be perfectly comfortable.He needs to try out a few different bikes to see what he really wants.
