Bought a pair of part worn raced tyres from forum member, supercorsa pro rear and a 120/70 metzeler sticky front. Amazing feel, grip,confidence, value...Then bike got written off by a Doris in a 4x4 before I got chance to get used to them. Will definately be looking for more stacky tyres for the new bike. Anybody know what tyre type services are available at Snetterton? Have track day this week.

FWIW the I asked the guy at the tyre place and he recommended the 70 over the 60 for track use.

I use Pirelli Supercorsa Pro to race on in teh dry, they are fantastic. For the intermediate dry/damp/wet days I've used Dunlop D208RRs and they were pretty good too.
For an all rounder track day tyre I would go for the Dunlop D209RR, 120/70 front and standard sized rear run at around 30psi front and rear (cold). The 208RRs are a little cheaper as they are older design but more than up to the job. |
