Listen to Tim Wilky- he is busy at fat fighters every week and will soon know all about "sag" .

I thank you -

I seem to remember not too long ago this running argument with someone on here about 'static sag', 'rider sag' etc. The Race Tech printout is spot on. The damping does need attention though, some heavier weight oil should be added too.

Go to the RaceTech or Traxxion site and they have a spring rate calculator where it will spit out a recommended spring rate for the SV with a rider of your weight onboard. This is your starting point.

Check out this link:

Haven't done it myself as I don't want to mess with the status quo.

Hello Pete, that would be me then . Hope 2007 is treating you well .

Right.... regrads all this Sag business DON'T get bugged down by terminology used by different sites ie ladden, unladden, bike, rider yada yada .

All you need to do is understand exactly how the actual reference measurements(datum?) are got and importance of difference in measurement from said reference.
In the end all told, they all point to the same result unless I'm arguing with PeterM that is, then all bets are off (jesting ).

Stick to one site and understand what they are trying to tell you

Ben

That's the one mate. Absolutely spot on with 'local' jargon too, it's very easy to get confused and cause confusion.
