Never ridden a street triple, but have owned a speed triple and sorry i must say, what a sack of sh*t it was. not the most reliable of bikes and myself being 6ft it was so bloody cramped.when riding it back from purchase 95 miles i did think to myself what have i done. looking at the prices today of used speed triple's against prices of the sv's, i would take the sv hands down. sorry to sound so negative regards Triumph triple's but this is my own view.

Don't think the Speed's a patch on the Street.

Well I'm 5 foot 4 and 9st 3, so being cramped isn't a problem

. As for the rest of it I shall have to wait and see.

You should try a street, it might be on the small side for you but it's such a different bike to the Speed. I test rode a Speed and I was so indifferent to it. Please tell me you had a test ride before you bought it.

i did have a short test ride around the block, yes it did feel small then but thought i could get a couple of inches extra room adjusting the bars ect. it was only after riding it home for around 50mls i started to ache. got it home and did the adjustments, but it did not go to plan. after owning the bike for a couple of weeks and approx 300mls later, running issues started.it was time to say farewell speedy.

Ah shame... Garages must hate me. A short test ride is 100+ miles.

Here Malc have you bought it yet?
