Re: After GMIII
Sounds like a similar plan as the one I had in mind, although its nothing like as organised as yours yet. I was going to try and extend the second day to Ullapool, with the aim of stopping right up in the far corner and seeing John o'Groats (having never been there). After that, try and head towards Edinburgh and down the east coast home.

Re: After GMIII
Nice plan Lissa, did a Isle of Skye trip about 2 years ago:
Route looks great, although you could stay off the A9 and go this way: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&so...54&ie=UTF8&z=8 Once you get to Blairgowrie and you still don't have enough, you could head towards Dunkeld/Crief: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&so...54&ie=UTF8&z=8 |

Cheers Dyz!
Guess we'll see how we're doing time-wise at Inverness and decide then

Re: After GMIII
So people are actually considering doing what Essex summer tour has been doing for the last 5years-----------ENJOY,if the weather is kind you will appreciate it even more, every bend and every rise brings something spectacular, rugged coastline or silver sand beaches, Golden Eagles and Sea Eagles, wild deer herds and keep a lookout for the otters. Take a bit of time just to look about.
Since we started doing similar I have a road atlas that I have highlighted with different colour markers for each year and there are very few roads we haven't been on------------but I will still be back in June. |

Enjoyed Skye and Applecross last year, so more than happy to go that way again.

Re: After GMIII
Yes, it was set ages ago.
http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=142832 Because we wanted twin rooms we've committed early. If there's a change, we lose 10% deposit. Worth it to get what we want, and for the peace of mind. We're sorted!
