Dude, looks awesome! On day 2 you might want to take an extra detour to take in more of the coast to Lochinver - it was some of the best scenery around there and some lovely places to camp if you felt like it. However Loch Assynt will be an awesome camp! Lochinver has a Spar and fuel... Altered route would be like this...

Dave.

That is a stunning route. Good planning.

IMHO, there are dozens of suggestions as to different ways to see Scotland, but the route you have planned will get you a lot of some of the best scenery that Scotland has to offer. You will LOVE it. The Loch Cluanie road yo the kyle of Lochalsh is great and you will really like the Bealach Na Ba route to Applecross. That is a stunner, although a bit slow.

I get to see Scotland on most days of the week thanks to my job, although it is usually a little bit higher and quite a lot faster. However, I am still dead jealous. I hope you have a fantastic time.

Let me know what it is like.

Rather than carrying camping gear consider SYHA or ISYH
No tents or sleeping bags required
As it rains a lot you can always get your gear dry for the next day
Minimum time loading and unloading your bike[5days a rucksack would suffice]
Cost £14-15 per night and can all be booked an advance through 1-2
phone calls
Plenty of choice with regard where you want to stop
DON'T make it an endurance and try for to many miles in a day
[I have been doing a 7-10 day tours for the last 5 years and find that 150-170
miles per day is a nice easy sustainable target]
People always worry about fuel range per tank but I've never had a problem even up the far North
Take your time and enjoy your surrounds allowing time for 15-30min stops during your day

So many people go up there for the roads and charge about all over the place not realising what they are missing by going a bit slower and taking it all in.

You are being very ambitious with your daily mileage for 5 days as I have done all these roads

My 2p worth

Seriously considering stopping on for a fewdays after the GM3 next year - seems a shame to go all that way and not make the most of it
