Get a Gixer 600 and join the dark side, you know you want too...
And you can have fun on a sports 600 without being in licence losing territory.... They go round corners faster and handle better, which is where the fun comes from. Using that gearbox makes for a much more involving ride too... The SV is a great bike, but a modern sports 600 generally has better quality components. However, it's not always suited to everybody.... I love mine and would only change it for a GSXR 750. . |

I agree with everything lynw has said, having previously owned a 600 zx6r
But hey, if you want to go for the sports il4, go for it. Just dont come crying to me when you miss the sound of the v-twin! |

yeah, compromise between the two.
Must say that i do like the older model speed triple. Now thats a cool bike. Not sure about the silly exhausts on the new model though. |

Most of my weekend blasts are done with a mate with a VTR Firestorm.
The 'storm is not massively quicker than the SV and around the twisties, the SV is more than a match for the Honda. So you may be a little disappointed if you go for one after a sports 600. (apart from the sound, that is!) The Honda does have great build quality though. Of course, you may be referring to the SP VTR, which of course is another matter entirely. |
