Miserable b*stards TBH I'd say the same for any animal that was going to have a building demolished on it, I just happened to see the CHAT site & thought that if at least one more person signed the petition it was worth the negative comments.

Mother cats and kittens are especially vulnerable, as mother cats are extremely protective of their young and will remain with their kittens in the most dangerous areas rather than abandon their babies. Since most feral cats flee and hide when humans approach, it's virtually impossible to ensure that buildings are clear of cats before demolition begins.
they've said it there. it will more than likely cause the animals just as much stress having to deal with being captured by humans as it will big noisy vehicles crashing about the place. whereas i admire them for trying, the cats certainly won't cooperate, i've seen attempted captures of feral cats and it ain't pretty, they lively little b#ggers. but good luck to 'em

Buy a paintball gun and chase the ****ers round before you pancake them. At least get an element of fun out of the little blighters before they lose all 7 lives in the space of a nano second.

I am sad to say I don't care either. I can't imagine too many cats are going to sit around amongst bulldozers and allow themselves to be killed, they can take care of themselves.

U'd think so. I think they're more fussed about the kittens they'd abandon but I shouldn't think the mothers will pick that spot again for future litters...

where are the dads in all this anyway?

Not quite, the room's about to be blown up remember. Unless your dog is dynamite proof too?

Anyway, not that I'm the type to be encouraging animal fights, but having seen a cat attempt to drag a seagull through the catflap once this year I've got one moggy who might disagree

EDIT: If this thread turns into a domestic pet version of "my dad could 'ave your dad" I'm not sure if I should I should be disgusted and launch once more the liberal lefty PC attack sub; or perhaps just walk away giggling

Can I take the gun round for a while before they press the button?

Anybody want to donate the odd box of cartridges?

Oh ********, I can't resist

Soo, a bunch of animals are about to die anyway, but before they do so, you'd like to go round with a gun taking pot shots at them? For what purpose pray tell? Fun? What kind of person does that make you?

That was just a pre-emptive strike rather than full blown retaliation, as I suspect you may have had tongue-in-cheek. If so, may I perhaps direct your attention to the emoticon? It's kind of the internet equivilant of car hazard lights, you know the Range Rover's parked on double yellows because I need to pop into the bank to get some cash for Ophelia and Tarquin's school dinner money, but it's ok, I've put my hazards on, that makes it all ok

Me too.

Don't like cats at all. As a child I once tried to smuggle a very cute kitten home by shoving it down my pants ( I was only about 9 or so, so all very innocent ) and hoping my parents wouldn't notice.

The 'cute' kitten nipped and clawed me all the way home and there began my loathing for the critters.
