do you know how to check for stored code?
you just need to bridge 2 wires under seat.

Hhmmm, Ran out of fuel - actually didn't think about that!! It was only 75 miles since the last fill up so other than a fuel leak (wasn't stinky) it shouldn't be that. Besides I thought it was only girlies that run out of fuel .

Afraid I've resorted to the cowards analysis tool - get man with van to take it away to man with spanner.

no it happens to a lot of folk, however remember the Raptor probs at the AR? well that eventually stopped with an FI light. Took ages to figure out the prob, but Im Indoors overode the dealer mode. Put new Ht leads in, did the throttle wotsitts and nowt worked. Til he cleaned some contacts and it sprang into life and the FI disappeared

For those of you hanging on tenderhooks I have the answer:

The spark ignition coil had gone - So Mark gets bonus points with the electrical idea.

So my diagnostic skills remain at a perfect score of zero. Still I will now be back on the road, shame in didn't happen 2 months earlier whilst it was still under warrenty.

Be right, electrical problems are always a bugger to find.
