Well they do say ignorance of the law is no defence. Better to stay clear of anything you know nothing about, or sounds like a safe option. Do you practice your archery every Sunday afternoon? Also, if you have the plague, don't flag down a taxi in London *shrug*

As well as these, it's also illegal not to tell the taxman anything you don't want him to know, although you don't have to tell him anything that you don't mind him knowing... go figure

This is true, but there are certain laws where it is necessary to prove intent (IE it was caused through malice/bad intentions, rather than ignorance). Particularly relevent in relation to computing (so you can't accuse someone of a DoS attack for hitting F5 repeatedly)
