Im surprised Suzuki havent yet taken any steps to facelift the bike. After all it is now a 5 year old design, and in the "Sports" market, that is a long time to look the same.

There was an excess of silver framed K4s at dealers, which is why we didn't get a K5 apart from the special edition in the UK. Would be nice to see a facelifted bike. I didn't get on with the seating position - perched on the bike... If they changed that, upped the spec of the components slightly, I'd be tempted to upgrade - A more grown up 650. I doubt the thou will come back, however I still think the 650 is due an update, even though I dont think the design is particularly outdated. The only think I dont really like about the bike is the basic swingarm design. |

It just looks like a bad special. If it really is some sort of concept, how about decent forks? Or perhaps a sginificant change somewhere? But it's MCN so it's cobblers anyway.

My guess is they are basing it on the fact the the GSX650F looks like a GSXR so everything else will follow - bit short sighted if you ask me...

People often cite the "if they improved the SV it wouldn't be a budget bike" argument as why it never gets properly overhauled, but I don't really buy it. After all, the Bandit was the epitome of cheap biking, but that has become more refined in recent years. I'd like to see the SV developed in two seperate directions. One a 700/750cc 'sports' variant with better suspension (a real poor man's Ducati 749), the other more of a sports tourer (higher bars, hard luggage as standard, comfier seat, more upright riding position, etc.) to rival the 800cc parallel twin BMWs.
