ah yeah I forgot about that catherine wheel run thread. I've not been to the ripon meeting point before so if anyone from the west yorkshire unit wants to meet locally then ride up together? you up for it luke?

failing that, I'll use a map, compass and me noggin. eeeeh by gum, remember them, maps. none of these new fangled satternavs thingys.

The rideout video from 19th jan was my first big rideout, so for all the first timers who're thinking of coming along = everyones sound as a pound, a good laugh and everyone rides at their own pace. The riders at the front slow down or pull over occaisionally to allow those at the back to catch up.

Will there be any carrot cake where we're going? Paul

i wouldn't even have a clue about getting to the poole/wharfedale petrol station lol...

Saddleworth moor, south yorkshire, the east coast and the peak district are my main stomping grounds...

I'll have a word with luke this week (he seems to know how to get everywhere) and see what he says. Would be nice to meet at a few places en route to the main meeting place for a warm up. I'll let you know, Paul

edit: no idea about the weather as yet, first forecasts can come upto 6/7 days before but if it's unstable weather systems, it can be changeable right upto about 48 hours before the day in question... I'll be back with more info asap

2nd edit: early predictions reckon temperatures will be above normal initially but rainfall could change to be slightly above average and also temperature to be slightly below. We'll have to wait and see.
