In Moorgate.
New job is near maidstone doing IT. Get full exposure, SQL, networks, servers, web design, citrix, cctv, bluetooth and wireless stuff. I posted about it before, but basically taking ?5k paycut, 30min extra per day, but on 12 miles each way instead of 27. In the country opposed to the city. Taking half step back to take 5 steps forward within a few months. Will get more work related stress, but thats better than the emotional and worthlessness stress i've had here. Got to the stage of "money isn't everything" And i've just turned 27... |

Good for you geezer. Once you have the new skills you can then get back in the city!
![]() Money isn't everything - but it does pay for things like rearsets, end cans, resprays - even new bikes! ![]() |

Cling film the toilets and leave a sardine hidden in your old office/workplace!

ha ha, the thoughts have all been there..
But its a big company here, and im a professional. I did have a big assed "whinge at management in front of 100 IT people" planned, but I may need the reference, and you never know what the future holds. I've got my revenge in my own little ways anyway ![]() Sod em, won't have to worry as from 5pm anyway ![]() Just called my new company to confirm my start tomorrow. They seemed VERY impressed that I called in advance. Maan if that professional aspect impresses them, im hoping to do very well ![]() |

No, never impress in the first few months, act dumb and request help, even when you don't need it. Make other people look clever and they'll love you. Make them feel stupid and inadequate, they'll write your mobile number on the cubicle wall of a local public toilet...

Also establish a routine where you only do half the volume of work you could do in a day.
Then when they ask you to pull something special out of the bag in a a short period of time, you have the time to manage to appear like a miracle worker. Also never deliver something that is being measured against a deadline more than 1 day early.
