thats not a heck of a lot more, based on that, even if these springs are hard, it wont make flip all diff, i'll clearly weight more with gear on

Some say , the racetech site recommndations are arguably on the soft side but if we were to go with the above Racetech recommendation then spring Chris is selling should be about right for you as the default Ohlins spring rate for the SV is 0.8 . It'll be great if Chris could find out exactly what spring rate it is....sometimes etched on end although don't know if Ohlins springs are marked.

I weigh(last time I checked hehe) about 170lbs of solid muscles and I use .85 that comes with the GSXR forks I've used in the last few years. Although I kinda prefer .80 but they still work okay for me.

In a nutshell , they won't be too high a rate for you if they are indeed the default spring rate for the SV.

The markings on the box...

The springs have either "708-" or "-80L" engraved on the top of them.

Looks like there stock springs from ohlins, i've found a few pdf's they released they detail 8657-80 as the part number for the 99 - 02 SV springs.

So fock it, give me ure paypal details Chris, and sure if they don't work out to be strong enough i'll blame Ben any way

They are 0.8 ---reckon perhaps might be too soft for you.

by the way , the other numbers for length, stroke etc are to do with the rear shock.

Cheers
