I had to get a small pair of mole grips to the oil cooler grille screws on both my pointys. They both came out quite easily once that had been applied. Both screws were replaced with stainless ones.

That might be a possibility.... I suspected that the use of a socket set ratchet handle would have applied enough force though. Probably try again some time.
