I always found Z6's gave good grip whatever the road conditions, I know peeps have done trackdays on them. They arent the latest stickiest rubber, they havent a got flash name or super bling dual compound technology, But they are well priced and they'll do what you need them to do, and they'll do it better and cheaper than the 020's you were looking to get.

I ride the 80 miles home all along the A303 at top speed, the fast dual carriageway and the roundabouts i have to encounter always have the tyre scrubbed in by the time i get home.

Its technically not recommended, but as long as you dont do stupid nutter speeds then yes you'll be OK IMHO.

Yeah, but take great care for the first 50-100 miles, especially on roundabouts/bends once you come off the motorway.

I usually take the twisties home from Micheldever (via A272/A32), and a few laps of the Peter Cooper to M27 dual carriageway/roundabouts to scrub mine in

Pity you can't use the standard 120/70 & 180/55 - I just got my pair of D208RRs from Busters - sitting here in the room with me now only ?110! (plus ?5 postage)

Good chance, 020's are still available and very popular so many tyre stockists will keep them in stock and the SV sizes are very common with 020's.

Shouldn't be a problem, just take it steady around the bends getting to and from the motorway.

As for other tyre choices there are many and it will varie between which is best between us all on here, I like the Avons and a lot of others don't. It depends what suits your riding style, best thing to do is fit a differnt tyre at every change to find which suits you best.
