right, bikers need to relax a little with the filtering sometimes.
I nearly had a really nasty off when some lad pulled a U turn when I was rallying up the outside of traffic, I wasnt wearing leathers then either.
I have no idea how I didnt get more wrecked on that off now that I think back.

Anyway, yeah, keep it tidy filtering, no temper tantrums, it could be worse, you could be in the US where its illegal, and you have to watch out for cops and tossers when you're filtering...

Yes, to be fair I've only ever had 2 or 3 incidences of people intentionally blocking me in south wales. I've had a few elsewhere, but it's not really a common problem for me.

Only people in South Wales who've got into my line when filtering or overtaking are women on mobile phones. Seems to me that a lot of motorists in London, including not a few bikers, are bloody menaces though.

Normally I'm very good at filtering and safe also. A saxo was clearly not happy that i was filtering on the motorway, I flashed beeped and other stuff at him and no joy, the guy behind him held back once there was a creep in the movement of the traffic saw fit to let me across his front and the Saxo's rear, as I've done it the Saxo has moved over to the right and now I can't get throught on the other side, for some reason his mirror was in my way and I was almost against the van on the other side. Out came the finger - MOVE! I shouted he shook his head, finger turned to fist made connection at a nice rate with his mirror (good hit for a left hand for me) and off we were. I pulled off at the next services for a drink got back to my bike and there he was parked next to my bike, he did his window up and started to get out, I put my coffee, helmet and bag down by the bike, took my gloves off placed them on my tank and he got back into his car. Wound his window down and said look what you have done to my mirror, I played the innocent, all it was, was bent back and glass was smashed all because he was being a nob. If anything comes of it, you know he has witnesses or anything like that, I'll pay the damage, but TBH I dont think it will. Served him right, won't do it again I shouldn't think.

theres a dual cariageway here that goes into one....always full up of cars trying to get further than they can. On Sunday coming home from Wales there was YC and I, with Melody sandwiched between us..........I took great pleasure in hogging the outside lane, and having a trail of cars behind me.........there weren't any behind Mel in the inside lane strangely enough, it just made me laugh so much because I could almost hear them shouting get out of the way...heheheehehehe

Most of the time if I'm going to put the boot into a car I won't go past if they're moving as they could possibly swerve and hit you, boot then drop back and pass a few lanes away.

I personally would not do anything like this. I ride for pleasure. Yes I make progress whenever I can, but am happy to wait 1 minute if it looks dangerous.
I noticed they tend to move away if you filter through into tight gaps (if they car is new they DO move away).
I like filtering. Love the feeling going past people stuck in their cars. Its worth the time it take me to get kitted up properly.

So do I. But there is also a compulsory aspect to it. Wouldn't be too hard to give up and insure and drive my car and always use that. IF I WANTED TO.

Ditto! Especially in city centres through stationary traffic. I've frequently got so far through a queue and then seen someone move their wing mirrors in further down the line!
