Home brewing is brilliant fun, done cider years ago, tasted like bog standard apple juice but plaited your legs and tongue within 3 pints

Even made my ex mother in law look attractive.....evil stuff, never made that again

The fact it's black may be a clue that this man is not making Carling....

Keep meaning to try some home brew stuff, but I'd be upset throwing it away if I didn't like it! I'd be trying for a decent bitter though....

Ah the wonders of homebrew...me dad used to do all sorts of it when I was a nipper....funny bubbles and glass milk bottles I recall

he made everything from Lager to plum wine to moonshine....I kid you not, he worked in Saudi for many years and had to make his own( with his mates in the English private villas) They came up with a concoction they named 'Jeddah Gin' which was garanteed to blow your head off.....ingredients.something along the lines of 5lb of spuds, 5 lemons,5 limes,5 oranges 5lb sugar??, in a big bin......marvellous...lol

Lol...I lived in Jeddah when I was a kid, and snuffled many a glass of Jeddah Gin into my room when mum and dad weren't looking....
Just as a matter of interest, where did your dad live, and how long ago?

Plastic isn't too bad if you sup it all at once!
However this may kill you

Mine was in a pressure barrel, and didn't really gas up as much as it should have, but it was still really nice. That was from a decent, 2 tin kit. The el-cheapo ones from the supermarket really dont cut it.

Amazing how quick 40 pints can dissappear ... hick...

Would build misen a still if it wasn't for those annoying excise lot...
