yes that is right b4 it was fixed there were no electrics at all, put new battery on and she ran, turned her off to come in house and went back out and she was dead!! charaged battery up b4 i came over on her after she was fixed so it was fully charged wen i got on her rode her 7 miles turned her off came back out and nope not a thing, not even a click

she is a curvy 1999 model, and yes i have checekd the itgnition kill switch lol and nope the stand is down but she not in gear! i have to pull gear lever in to start her any way???

In which case, with the battery running down overnight it seems, I would be checking the known fault of the wiring loom chaffing through against the frame, under the riders seat. Remove the seat and check for the wiring on the LHS of bike rubbing against the frame or possibly the bolt that holds the riders seat in place. If the wiring looks worn, it is likely the short is here.

Failing that, it may be the rectifier / regulator and Blue_SV650S did an excellent job in this thread of talking a novice mechanic through checking it all.
yes it has a choke on it, seeminingly it is stuck as this is why she is over reving or so i was told wen left garage yesterday???? lol

thanks for advice felt a bit stuck with it all
