the rock is cool but thats all thats there

perth/fremantle is cool but a bit far from everything ( not a bad stop off on the way back as its the closet place to the UK )

I wholeheartedly agree with the suggestions of Sydney / Byron Bay / Noosa / Whitsunday Islands. All great places.

Port Macquarie is also nice and parts of Victoria (ie, the forests) are also very nice, especially if you can tie in a trip to Phillip Island for the MotoGP
