My girlfriend has almost 100% genuine cleaning OCD.

She is a psycho when it come to cleaning and sometimes I even have to question whether or not she is taking the **** and putting it on.

I cook dinner every night, I will then clean up.....she will then spend another 30 - 60 minutes cleaning up after me?????

Or she will make a drink, then get out some cleaning wipes and wipe down the WHOLE work top.......

I like to have things in order... i'm worse now than i ever was! But i don't think i am O.C.D, just have a couple of habits

When putting the plates away out of the dishwasher, they have to go into the cupboard in the correct sets... so all our grey plates together and all our white plates together (the same with bowls and the small plates).

I hang the coat hangers in the wardrobe facing the same way and again in their set order (wooden ones together and plastic ones together) but only do this when they are not holding anything... otherwise my clothes get hung in their groups... shirts together, jumpers trousers etc lol

All my t-shirts are ironed and folded identically and carefully ordered in their draw. All socks are folded correctly and in their drawer. I can't bear putting clothes away that have not been ironed (except for undies - don't do undies).

do you not bundle up socks in pairs? Why fold them?

I find myself lining things up by eye quite often. Like the edge of something in the foreground to the edge of something further away. Odd.

Ah! I now see the error of my poor England. In the context of sock mechanics, folded correctly means bundled up in pairs as your correct terminology exposes. I also pile/arrange the bundles in a rather neat & tidy fashion.

Ironed socks are a delight to put on. Much better than non-ironed ones

My OCD trait is numbers. Can't stand odd numbers unless it is a 5. Odd fractions are OK as long as they end in a 5. So 3 is horrible as is 3.7, but 3.75 is fine. Can never have the volume on the TV on 7, but 8 is fine. 70mph is fine but 75 is a much more attractive number.......officer.

Shoes is the other one. Must be in pairs and lined up neatly. Shoe shops get on my nerves. All those single handed shoes on display. *shudder*
