Mouth Ulcers

Can be caused by sodium laurel sulfate in toothpaste try switching to a natural one from the healthshop worked for me never get any these days

Swill yer yap with warm water and salt solution , does the job , not had one for years .

make a paste with bicarbonate of soda - dont know if it works but im sure I read somewhere it did.

OK, SWMBO been the H and B today and bought Kingfisher Fennel, but this has got Sodium Laurel in it. She says they all did except one which had another Sodium something or other. (Her words, not mine)

You got a brand or name please mate of the stuff you use?

I feel your pain, i stopped the dreaded weed in Jan, the meds to 'aid stopping' caused me to develop ulders from my inside lip, gums tongue, cheek and throat half way down.

Took 9 weeks on first antibiotics then a 3 daily Betamethasone steroid mouthwash to get rid of them (lost 2 stone too from being unable to eat anything not liquidised for 2 weeks though )

PS - Just think twice about taking Champix for stopping smoking, read the horror stories of the side effects on the net, having been there i do know its true!

Try melting a small (or huge!) piece of chocolate on the ulcer. Leave it there as long as you can before licking it off. If you lick it off before it works, put more on!

How do you know when it's worked? Dunno. I suppose it's when you've eaten the whole bar of chocolate.

Honestly, it does work. Done it for years.

Well...ermmm...I might have been known to claim ulcers to get a sympathy bar of chocolate...

But, honestly, it really does work!
