I've just ordered a set of 021's and should have the bike back this week (it's being serviced) . The guy in the garage has quoted me about £300 for 2 tyres and a full service. Is that about right? He said he would actually service the bike properly not just do a suzuki oil and chain lube job

I didn't think I needed new tyres after 4500 miles but after he pointed the wear bars and the shoddy state of the right side of my front tyre (knee down practice!!) I decided to get them changed.

Can't wait, sticky tyres.... WooHoo

I will report back when I have tested them!

021s fitted.

Got a good few miles in last night and they felt good from the off.
Pressures are higher though. Bridgestone recomend 36F 42R.

Feels good to have round hoops again instead of slightly square ones.

I had dunlop 220s on before (rubbish) the 021's have had better grip from the off and i'm really happy with them. They are a direct replacement for the 020's so you will like them if you like those.

Got some fitted last night, they instantly feel better despite not yet being scrubbed in. Can't wait to give them a good go.

I've just done 1212 miles on my bt021's on the Glencoe massacar run

I ran them at 36 psi front 42 rear to start with, hated that so dropped them down to 33/36 they were better

In the dry they have a fair amount of grip, not loads on confidence insipring grip, but enough to think "i'm supprised I made that"

In the wet thay are awful, hate them!
Turn in, then i feel them glide, like I'm not connected to the road, all confidence goes, bike stands up, then I carn't get the thought out of my head on every other corner "will they grip?"

as for life? after 1212 miles, you cannot tell they are worn at all

they are what they say they are! touring tyres, take them for nothing else.

If you don't want a hoon/lean angles on unpredicable surfaces, give them a go. If you do, look elsewere

I don't want touring tyres anymore, I want some grip, pilot sports I love for grip but not for life span, but I will buy more pilot sports but no BT021's

Rant over!

Really!!

I've been out in all weathers on mine and they feel awesome compared to the 220's. They are currently running 36 F 42 R and i really can't fault them. I've had them way over in the dry (even 2 up) and they just feel good. They slip a bit if you go for it, a bit like a crosser tyre would but that just reminds you that you're on the road and not a track.

What tyres did you have before as I've only run 220's and these on the road.

Just looking around to see what tyres to put on the missus sv when it gets to the time and I think I'll go for the 021's as well..

I run a 014 on the front and 021 on the rear of my blade and I think they are brilliant... wet or dry.
I've used bridgestones 020's on my previous bikes and never had any problem... and I ride all year.

Even on bike magazine last month they tested tyres and the 021's came better... one of the comments says "even in the wet I managed to drag the centre stand around the bend.. "

I replaced my original Dunlop 220's with 021's and have found them to be a big improvement. They give much more feel and confidence from cold and are even better once warmed up.

Earlier in August I rode to Cornwall and took the scenic route there through Wales and the Brecon Beacons. Apart from the first 40 miles it lashed down the whole way. Now I'm certainly no Rossi but even travelling at a fair speed the 021's were impeccable - even when we got lost and ended up riding on single track, unclassified roads through standing water the tyres never once felt like they were struggling.

They're wearing well too, I've done about 1,000 miles and they still look like new.

i agree 021's huge improvement over 220's no confidence at all in the 220's,but the 021's have transformed me into a riding god (well almost )
