Ok just checked literally right now and could insure a sv650 2003 for under £1k third party fire and theft which isn't too bad, it looks similar to most quotes i was getting before I had the off. There may still be hope,,,

I am sure if you done it with non original parts it could be done for 2k you could get a full akropovic exhaust system for well under 1k and I am sure that a new rad and the other bits don't come to 3k mind you all the plastics need replacing so that is probably what costs then you have to double the price at least for the OE stuff

As you are restricted what about the Ninja 250 maybe a lower Ins group ?

mm all the OE stuff I am sure if you used non original parts you could repair for about 2k but all the original suzuki stuff you are looking at a fortune to replace

I actually checked it out and can still get insured for a similar price to last time, a little more expensive and on an older bike but around the same. It's now dependant on me getting a bike etc.
