sounds like you have not accrued enough. but surely that should not be an issue unless you leave the company and they can then recalculate your wages and say well she took 3 days holiday more than she had accrued we will dock her wages.

I love having 13 weeks holiday a year but cannot take holidays outwith school holidays

to re-iterate what Speedy said, that time should be covered by sick leave and you should get those days of your holiday entitlement back.

well I know this and you know this, but, this is the mighty Willy Wonkas chocolate firm, and they do things the opposite way to everyone else.....argue with that ,you can, but they are right and superior and your a little person so be quietthen you wonder why myself and many others consider leaving on a regular basis

Try not to worry too much.

One of the few advantages of living in the United States of Europe is that we have a minimum statutory leave of 20 days. They can't take that away from you, regardless of what they think.

I don't. Perhaps you can notice that when you work during the week and get bank holidays and such but when you work on a weekend things get more complicated. I work nights on a sunday night and the dodgy gits manage to even find a plan so bank holiday monday is technically worked, oh we are given it somewhere.....but i'd like to know where

I get 20 days but my robbin' barsteward of an MD makes us keep 4 of those back for Christmas!! 16 days is all I end up getting! My mate works for Norwich Union and gets 31 days and can work over Christmas so doesnt have to waste any like I do...
