At first I thought it was just the tyres were not up to full temp. But having watched the video I had actually done 3 laps prior to that (initially thought it was just 2) and although I had been sat in the collecting area for a bit, it was a nice day, so I doubt the tyres cooled THAT much from the warmers, 2 laps might have been a bit marginal, but 3 should have been enough!

Again, having now looked closely at the video footage, I simply think I just lent that bit too far that lap and the front 'tucked' (knew the front had tucked, just for a different reason than I first thought - I was annoyed with myself at the start!). Looking at the footage, it certainly isn't that many more degrees over from when I was riding it to when it was sliding on its side!!

As for tips, there is a 90deg right hander down the bottom bit, that might catch you out if you steam in there too fast/hard, also the hairpin before the start-finish is slightly off-camber and has over banding, again, take care there!

Well it did look pretty damn horizontal! So are you hanging off enough? If you are, do you think you could go round that corner any faster at all? Could Rossi? If so, how could he do it?

Cheers for the tips!

Rossi could go faster than me if he was on a shopping trolley!!

I just over-stepped then mark that tiny fraction ... you even see MotoGP gods do it ... proving no one is infallible, even the truly talented and experienced professionals, let alone me! Its simple ... you push the limits, sometimes you over-step them/get bit ...

I was on a trackday, trying to get faster and learning the track, I evidently pushed that bit too hard and the front let go ... that is what can happen ... you have to be a bit philisophical about these things!!

Sure its gonna cost me some time and money to fix the bike and leathers stuff; but I am not hurt, so I am not that bothered by it!! - it happens! ...

I think the footage is quite cool ... and it just goes to show how hardy those little cams are!!
