No, if you extend the shock it'll push the swingarm down further, hence raising the rse end of the bike. If it didn't, then you wouldn't gain anything.

Though at bottom of travel, rate is reduced, so shock is effectively softer in that part of travel... Not sure what effect that'd have.

It's still a $hit shock...

Have you considered dropping the forks through the yokes by 10mm?

This is what I have done, but the bike is way too low now.

Yeah, but that is the front not the rear. Exacty what is the problem you are having, pegs grounding out?

I'd say what most standard aftermarket shorter dogbones do with a K3+: +25-30mm. Though I'm not sure what this distance means: is it the shock which is "pushed up" by that amount, or is it the very tail (ledlights) of the bike which comes up by that distance?
The Ohlins shock is 337mm (stock length) +12mm adjustment ... so 349mm max. I like the full +12mm, but it might be a little over agressive for the road?

So I doubt you would want more than the 12mm extra.

No that's not the problem Dave. But I'm rather tall and just feel like the bike is standing too low now when I'm with my feet on the ground.

Ok but most dogbones lift the rear by 25-30mm. I guess that's the delta lift measured at taillaight then?

Yes, that is at the tail or seat? I don't know how much +12mm at the shock translates to at the tail .. but I have tried dogbones and they did very little ... the race shock makes the bike notably taller!!

Yeap, you can get 40mm ones too.
