You're asking for trouble if you start shooting cyclists. All it'll take is just one to get arsey and you're in a world of police statements.

Thats why I would only be shooting then in the back (of neck hopefully) after they were half-way across the junction while running a red light - to report me they would have to land themselves in it

Oh and I would have the video-cam running too to prove this

Just to let you know it would probably classed as common assault, could also be done for a public order offence.

Trouble is if they've run a red light to start with, then their in a world of pain as far as the police are concerned already.

Something like the sports drink I carry in my water bottle is gonig to be unplesant as it has glucose and stuff like that in it so once it dries it goes all crispy and sticky.

You could claim you were just trying to give them a refreshing drink though

Can remember when I lived in Didcot - went into Oxford one morning and near 'the head of the river' pub there were police fining cyclists who jumped red lights - they got (IIRC) a couple of hundred in the morning...

Crazy!

I remember reading years ago someone getting done for driving through a puddle and soaking some pedestrian. Got the fuzz involved and everything.

Its only Water ffs!

My mates and I had a beer fight once with supersoakers filled with John Smiths. It was pretty funny up and until we got attacked by swarms of Flies.

That is because it IS illegal to deliberately soak someone by driving through a puddle.

And I would hardly describe a puddle on a roadway as "only Water".

David, I think you should only shoot at the cyclist going through a red light if you, hand on heart, dont mind motorists shooting at you for riding in excess of the speed limit or filtering through moving traffic etc etc etc.
How does it feel when you are filtering and somebody in a car ahead pulls over just a tad so the gap is too narrow to filter through.
Let them go through the light, its their risk.

What else is a puddle then? Elephants Wee?

We've all at some stage I'm sure got wet and been ****ed off, but to involve the police is a bit far.

Your the one talking about soaking cyclists!

Its driving without due care and attention :P

And maybe not Elephant Wee, but there is bound to be dirt and diesel, which could ruin clothes.

I am only talking about squirting normal water at law-breakers to bring to their attention that I find their behaviour unacceptable.
