They are really comfy compared to the stock seat. Second hand ones dont appear on ebay that often either

You also need to be aware that a K3 pointy has a different seat pan from the K4 etc onwards . The K3 has a higher subframe you see and this is the only one of the range that has certain model issues that are not common to others . Another seat company I have stumbled across is Sargent Seats , they are very similar to Corbin in looks and are a company I am very interested in having a seat from , have a gander here http://www.sargentcycle.co.uk/acatalog/suzuki.html

Just my opinion, I have a OEM gel seat.
They take a bit to break in. I was unsure about mine when I first got it, and changed back to the stock seat- for an eight mile trip! The moment I got home I put the gel back on, it is really that much better. I just hadn't realized it through the break in period as it is slow. After a couple thousand miles the seat conforms much better, and I would not be without it now. I have ridden for a short time with a Corbin, and they are also very good, but a little too set for position for my personal taste, it seemed to want to keep me in one position and I like to move around on the seat on long rides. One word of warning with the gel- if left in the sun they get hot, and the gel pad retains the heat, in an uncomfortable sense. I try to park in the shade, or throw a light colored microfibre cloth over the seat. These seats are usually avaiable on eBay for less than the dealer. Most are from the states, check to see if they will ship to the UK. I don't know why they wouldn't, I buy stuff out of England and Europe all the time. |
