Ok thanks guy had a idea it would be a complete strip job but hoped might be another way..ohhh well wet n dry here i come lol thanks guys if i do buy the bike will put some before n after shots up...thanks again Caz

The tank could be stripped very easily if you remove it - paint stripper. no need for wet & dry, just use some really course sandpaper before using the stripper, so that it opens the paint quicker.

the fairing is more difficult because paint stripper could soften the gelcoat quite a lot.
try some storng solvent on the current topcoat. depending what has been used it might take it off very quickly
