Got a new relay from Halfords. Piece of pi$$ to install and soo much better than the burning hot resistors I had for the front indicators. Should have done it ages ago.

Nothing wrong with those sort of resistors....they work just fine.
I'm using a similar pair for my front indicators. Admittedly mine are 25W 6ohm ones. Ben
