Wow, that front mudguard looks good for the age, they've usually gone past the point of no return by now. What's the rear one like?

I just found a photo of my last RDs. I only own the one next to the blue one now, but my eldest daughter and her bloke restored the 125 and kept it.

Rear one's alright, just little bits of surface rust, no deep pits underneath either.

Do you know a yam dealer who does mail order? I need to get some of the pivot sleeves and bolts for the calipers.

PGM in Berwick upon Tweed is an RD Specialist, he's got everything you'll ever need and more.

I haven't dealt with him for years, but last time I did he was fantastic and had everything I required

Prompted by this discussion, I popped round to see my little sister (all 4' 10" of her) and discovered these in her garage amongst a fair few other bits and pieces from my RD400.

So, I called the other 2 sisters and one tells me there's a frame and a few boxes of bits in her garage loft, and the other sister has an engine in the shed. Mum and dad also have boxes of bits, and my dad wants to know when I'm going to get rid of what's left of my 1971 Mini Cooper S from his garage and garden. I told him I'd forgotten I still owned a Cooper S bodyshell, because I last wrote it off in 1983.

Lol. Well if you find a 400E rear master cylinder and the caliper pivot bolts, sleeves and washers then give us a shout

If I find spare ones you can have them, but I think there's only the bits that came off this bike in the boxes as I sealed the boxes up, which is very unlike me.

Well it's almost together... I think the coils packed in though, very weak spark ... everything else checks out OK
