Now THAT is quite nice , the pointy look but with curves to blend in , best of both worlds there .

That's the fairing off a Buell Firebolt. Used all the bits except for the gauges. The police stopped me just to take a look at it the other day, Asking what bike it is. Some guys thought it was the new SV!

Nice one, how much engineering did it take?
Really tempted by that if I can get hold of one, might photoshop your pic see what it looks like in yellow. What's the lighting like?

Glad you like my conversion Louisa. It did take some work to fit but worth every hour as I'm quite pleased with the outcome. The fairing does provide some protection from the windblast but to be truly more effective the windshield needs to be a bit higher. I fitted new mirrors from the more recent XB12R since the photo above which have longer stems so are more practical in that I can finally see more than my shoulders now. The gauges are the stock naked SV ones but I've had to make custom bowls for them as the stock ones are too big and don't fit. The Buell braket was also modified to fit the SV frame mounts. I've had to take the Buell magnesium alloy mounting bracket to an engineer to extend the mounting part and then drilled new holes to match the frame. Make sure that you use welding material for magnesium otherwise you'll ruin the mounting bracket.
The lighting from the projector units is quite ok. Nothing in GSXR territory though. If you want real good lighting look into HID conversions. I use this bike for Sunday blasts mostly, during the day, so gave lighting second preference to looks and some wind protection.

I really like it, really tempted if I can get hold of one. Do you have to swap to clipons to do the conversion and what do you need to do to the yokes?
Kudos man
