keep the revs high and if she feels she is about to fall then let the clutch out a little bit to speed up the bike and counter act the falling effect/force.

Good Luck Zoe. Hope it all goes well for ye.
On my test the examiner asked me to first walk my bike around then to perform a U-Turn so I turn back towards the examiner. So as soon my bike was turned enough I used my examiner as my Target-Fix. May not be the same circumstances for yourself but do find something to lock onto that will steer you in the right direction. Once again good luck Last edited by Mr Speirs; 06-08-08 at 01:12 PM. My girlfriend has the same problem, everything is excellent but the u-turn on the test day.
She has a little cg125 and i went out with her and she does 10 u turns no problems. Then out with the instructor she does them all day long on the 500. Its just the day of the test and nerves. All I can suggest is to try and calm down before the test...it really is not that important in the grand scheme of things. Good luck to everyone who is about to take there test....its worth it when you get it!!!!! |

I realised that this positive mental attitude thing was an issue and at the test I passed I had a completely different approach - 'I know I can do this, I will do this, I'm going to show off my skills, I'm going to impress the bloke'. And it made such a difference

head up, and never lean into it with your upper body.
just practice lots and get the mrs to commit to it. the problem i had was wobbling as i never got to full lock then kept moving the bars one nice movement. if not j turns just as good and so much easier. |

Find a mini round about and go round it a few times so your doing a 180 (come off at the same road you came on) any bets she could do that all night, then remind her that she has prob just turned far tighter going round that than she would be in a U turn. (no mini round about near you then draw one in a empty car park)
