I've not seen one on demo so I tested the 1250SA to get an idea.
If you can get a test though you should take it for a test with and without the hard luggage on. There is a difference in the handling, nothing wrong just a bit more weight hanging off the back. Quite a useful reminder as it's got a big @rse with the side boxes so a bit more room is needed for filtering. Having said that it's so comfortable waiting in traffic and is less of a chore compared to when I had my SVS or gixer. |

1st Generation B12 - Certainly not wrong; a truly great bike - I'd have another tomorrow.
2nd Generation B12 - Not really wrong; not so good in the looks dept & slightly 'softer' in the ride - but more rider friendly on longer journeys Bandit 1250 - Can't offer a 'right / wrong' opinion as I've never ridden one of these so I'm going by other people's reports & looks only; even more of a Sports Tourer than the 2nd Gen bike so being naked is not my cup of tea - but a perfectly adequate bike - I just wish they hadn't given it the 'Bandit' name !!

ive got a b12 as well as the sv650. the odler version. they are fun bikes to ride, fast, torquey, and i find it steers in nicely too. but whenever i go from the bandit to the sv, it allways puts a smile on my face. i love the sv to bits. not sure what it is, weather its the slimness of it, or the lighter weight. but i think a lot of it is to do with the sound. love the sound of the twin. i like having both though. the bandit pulls and pulls and better on longer journeys, sv is good for town blasts, but i thnk im being a bit too heavy handed for the sv now. possibly outgrown it!

My father in law has one - it does need to be wrestled about if you like to "press-on" but other than that its a good motorcycle - not my sort of thing though - I prefer something a bit lighter...
