I for one am a supporter of any advance training, I even do paper/admin work for the local Bikesafe scheme. I will admit they do teach you the basics that you already know, but they don't know that and a refresh of things is never a bad idea because a lot of the little things are easily forgotten. The majority of the things they teach you will have learnt for the first time from them.

In a recent local survey we came to the result that the second least remembered action is life savers, the name just says it all really!

I insured my bike with them. They were the cheapest by a country mile.

I renewed with express cos they beat everyone else.
This year they gave me leather cover, legal assistance, courtesy bike, no excess if its not my fault, 90 days free foreign cover and cover and replacements for all my mods.

£350 fully comp with one years no claims. If i didn't declare any of the mods the insurance dropped to £250.

But honesty is the best policy i suppose.

My IAM test was in pouring rain too and i was well glad the copper following me had just told me BT021's were the best tyres in the real world. Suppose he would know.

Well done.

I renewed through the group insurance scheme for £190 fully comp and that gets me business use as well as 45 days european cover. Ride other bikes, take pillions etc etc.

My renewal from aQuote was very slightly less but wasn't inclusive of the business side (especially the specific "Observing" clause) which is important for me. Got my car renewed with them too now with similar cover and saved a fair whack.

Remeber too that you'll save 25% on your AA or RAC cover for ever more.

Once again well done.

Or, they get bored of all the IAM people thinking they are better than everyone else.

Congrats though JB, despite my opinion on IAM any training is better than none, so well done.
