Fantastic day! Although my son managed to fall off at the melbourne loop which cut his session short but at least he still had the car park stuff still to do.

My instructor was ex BSB Rider Keiran Clarke, nice bloke, good instructor. Got 1 to 1 instruction in 2nd & 3rd session as we lost my partner but he got picked up another instructor. they do try to even things out if your partners running at a different pace.

It's not cheap but will def go again next year

Picks are copied from on site phot man Keith Martin.
Good photos
Out of interest. How long did the photo's take to arrive? I ordered the set of 5 as well.

Pics look great , sounds like you had an awesome time and not too pricey either...

...might consider it myself once I have a bit more practice under my belt of normal every day riding , once I get my bike back

Yep! it's a good day out, professionally done with good facilities (bacon butties, etc available). It can be a bit intimidating, all the bikes are out there together including the fireblades. I've been riding over 25 years but I was dead nervous until we got out on the bikes.

Got buzzed down the straight...... accelerating on the stop, an instructor comes flying past......... on the back wheel LOL

bacon butties!
where, how and i want mine now.....
I've been looking at doing something similar to be honest, i've always fancied some track time and think it would be a good way to get into trackdays, knowing that when you turn up to roll with the rest of the public you're not gunna get in EVERYBODIES way

Oi Paiste!

Who said you could ride my bike? Smegging outrageous! Some people just take liberties.

I did the premier class a couple of weeks ago.

I was awesome...fast in every corner, fantastic lines. Rossi would have been hard pressed to keep pace.

...yeah right....I was terrible!

It was like I had an alergy to the green apex cones. Having never been on a track before (and being a bit of a jessie) it was quite intimidating. Lots to think about mixed with a large dose of trying too hard.

I left feeling really disheartened with it all, having missed my performance expectations by a country mile.

However, the next day I started to realise what I had learnt, what is important when trying to be fast and smooth around a track and more importantly - how cool it actually was. I am definately going to go back next year and try it again - this time with nothing to worry about.

The photos arrived two days after the course, and show just how much I wasn't hanging off, even though at the time I felt like I was hanging off like a monkey!

Photos are excellent for just that, people can learn/improve so much by simply seeing pictures of themselves in action to put some measure/reference on what they were feeling ...

My thoughts exactly. It has nothing to do with ego or how sexy your butt looks in your leathers...until you look like a 'proper' racer with you knee slider leaving huge trials of magnessium sparks!

Same with video, getting someone to video you round a corner is good as it allows you to see what you're doing.

OTOH as my wife found out you might see just how close you were to getting your knee down for the first time and be really annoyed you didn't!!

Not unless you ride in WSB and I think you'll find that's titanium and toe sliders!

Magnessium sliders would be rather dangerous!
